In 2012, Clifton Food Range became sponsors of The Chefs’ Forum; a one day event which happens across eight areas of the UK, including Bristol, London, Devon and Dorset throughout the year. It is an opportunity for sponsors to meet potential customers, enabling chefs to source top quality local ingredients and reliable catering equipment. Local catering colleges are also involved in the forums.
Clifton Food Range prides itself on supporting chefs with their sous vide demonstrations whilst at Chefs’ Forum events. Some have been long standing Clifton customers, including Olly Rouse (Lainston House, Hampshire), Chris Wicks (Old Down Manor, Bristol) and Nick Brodie (Llangoed Hall, Brecon).
The events are held in various restaurants, colleges, hotels and manor houses across the country. The aim is to encourage college students to gain extra knowledge and understanding when working in the hospitality industry. The events help the students to understand the fundamentals of working in a busy kitchen, putting their skills to the test by creating canapés for the guests to enjoy. The Chefs’ Forum also gives students the opportunity for work placements within the industry.
Clifton Food Range have been members of the Made in Britain campaign since early 2014 and are very proud to display the Made in Britain logo on all of the water baths. Chefs can easily recognise the marque and choose to buy from Clifton because they know they are getting a long lasting, reliable product, which has been manufactured to the highest standard in the UK.
Clifton is made up of 34 members of staff, many of which have been with the company for a considerable amount of years. They’ve built up a priceless amount of knowledge and experience during their time with the company and this amount of expertise has become invaluable to the British firm.
